One big impact on Americas was the drafting. Some people lost their family members and some would even just leave the country. Some of the drafting age boys would burn their draft cards, fled the country, and even deserted the military. They were pardoned after but if somebody the like law enforcement, it would be bad news. It was against the law to do any of these things. Some people really wanted to go into the military but some would not make it. People would dread the day they turned into drafting age and get there draft cards. The drafting for the Vietnam war was a very big impact on American because a lot of people would loss their family members or even there life's.
Another big impact on Americans was when LBJ was in office and was in with the war. People would chant to him, “Hey, Hey, LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?” This was a very big part in the war at home. People would get in fights about if we should be in the war or be involved in the war. We all should have an opinion on the Vietnam war, but there should be no fighting with this. Some people would protest like this, with there claim about the Vietnam war. LBJ had to settle all of this.
The war at home was a part of the Vietnam war. They planned protest and peace gatherings. All they wanted was their loved ones home. But some didn’t have any there so they might have been with the war. Some would just think it was right to be in war to save the world. When the war started and until the end there was protesters protesting and doing anything they could to not get drafted, to not let their loved ones be drafted, and even some retired soldiers. There would be fights in between the police officers and protesters. This was just part of the Vietnam war.
